New design from Darcy Ashton

Darcy Ashton has designed the "Can't we be Friends" pattern for hand applique.  In parallel I am transforming her design to be stitched out on the embroidery machine.  Each design fits an 8" x 10" stitch area.  One more friend to go!

Another Bird of Paradise Block from Pat Campbell design

I am trying to get all 9 Bird of Paradise blocks done by the end of the month, at least the first stitch out of them.

Bird of Paradise -- 3rd of 9 Blocks

I just finished the first stitch out of this Bird of Paradise Block.  I decided to use a different background fabric, which I think works better to show off the various applique fabrics.

Chelsea Garden Quilt with Pat Campbell

This was my first year at Houston as an exhibitor.  I had placed the Chelsea Garden Quilt on the back wall of my booth and had many admirers looking at the colors, design and the quilting (by Richard Larson).  Pat Campbell and her husband John stopped by several times and were very pleased with the responses to Pat's quilt that was done in the hoop with an embroidery machine.  Pat honored me with allowing me to take a picture of her with the quilt.
